How to Build Your Mynd

Last updated: July 2026

A Mynd is an AI version of you. Anyone in the world can talk to it and have a real conversation — not with a generic assistant, but with something that thinks, reasons, and responds the way you do. This guide explains how to build yours.

1. What Is a Mynd?

Your Mynd learns who you are from the things you have already written — your messages, your notes, your opinions online, your highlights, your journals. The more it knows about you, the more it sounds like you.

A Mynd with very little to go on will feel generic. A Mynd that has read everything you have written over the past five years will feel like you wrote every response yourself.

Once your Mynd is ready, it lives at joinmynd.com/your-username. Anyone can visit that link and talk to your AI twin — no account required.

2. Step One — Tell It How You See the World

The first thing to do is fill in your Worldview. This is a short piece of writing, in your own voice, about how you see things — your beliefs, what you care about, what you think people get wrong, how you approach work and life.

Do not try to sound impressive. Write the way you actually think. This is the most important thing you will give your Mynd, and it will have the biggest impact on how accurate it feels.

If you are not sure where to start: what do you believe that most people around you do not? Start there.

3. Step Two — Upload Your Data

The more of your own writing you give Mynd, the better it knows you. Below is everything Mynd can currently read, and how to get it.

Things you have written

  • ChatGPT export — Go to ChatGPT → Settings → Data Controls → Export. Upload the conversations.json or memory.json file.
  • X / Twitter archive — Go to X → Settings → Your Account → Download an archive of your data. Upload the tweets.js file.
  • Reddit export — Go to Reddit → Settings → Data Request. Upload the comments.json file.
  • WhatsApp export — Open any chat → More → Export Chat → Without Media. Upload the .txt file. Only your messages are used.
  • Telegram export — Go to Telegram Desktop → Settings → Advanced → Export Telegram Data. Export as JSON and upload the result.json file. Only your messages are used.
  • Notion export— Go to Notion → Settings → Export Content → Export as Markdown & CSV. Upload individual pages or the full export.
  • Obsidian — Upload any .md files from your vault.
  • Medium articles — Upload your article HTML files or paste the text directly.
  • Apple Notes — On Mac: select notes → File → Export, or copy and paste the text directly.
  • Plain text — Blog posts, journal entries, essays, anything you have written. If it sounds like you, it belongs here.

Things you have read and consumed

  • Kindle highlights — Upload the My Clippings.txt file from your Kindle device, or visit read.amazon.com/kp/notebook to find your highlights.
  • Goodreads library — Go to Goodreads → My Books → Tools → Import/Export → Export Library. Upload the goodreads_library_export.csv file.
  • Google activity— Go to myaccount.google.com → Data & Privacy → Download your data. Select Search or YouTube activity and upload the exported JSON files.
  • Google Keep — Go to keep.google.com → Menu → Export and upload the exported files.

4. Step Three — Complete Your Psychology

Inside your Mynd page, there is a section called Mirror. It has four short assessments covering your personality, your values, and how you relate to people.

Answer honestly. These assessments make your Mynd significantly more accurate — the difference between something that sounds vaguely like you and something that feels unmistakably like you.

5. When Does Your Mynd Go Live?

Your Mynd becomes publicly accessible once it knows enough about you to represent you well. You will see a progress indicator on your Mynd page. Once it is ready, your link goes live automatically.

The more you upload, the faster you get there — and the better your Mynd will be.

6. A Note on Beta

Mynd is new. We are a small, independent team and this is an early version of something we are building carefully. A few things to know:

  • Uploading is manual right now. You export from other platforms and bring the files here. We are working on making this seamless, but it is not there yet.
  • Your Mynd improves over time. The more you add, the better it gets. If something feels off, the answer is usually more data.
  • Things will break occasionally. When they do, email us at hello@joinmynd.com. We fix things fast.

7. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see what my Mynd knows about me?

Yes. Everything your Mynd has learned from your uploads is visible in the Memories section of your Mynd page. You can review and delete anything at any time.

Do visitors need an account to talk to my Mynd?

No. Anyone with your link can talk to your Mynd. No account, no signup.

Is my data used to train AI?

No. Everything you upload is used only to build your Mynd. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Deleting your account removes all your data within 30 days. Instructions are in your account settings.

What if my Mynd says something I would not say?

It happens more when your Mynd is new and has less to go on. Upload more of your writing, refine your Worldview, and it will get more accurate over time.
